1924 Mrs. Sherlock's Bread Pinbacks PSA-Graded Complete Set (10)

Starting Bid - $500, Sold For - $2,963

High-grade complete set of 1924 Mrs. Sherlock’s Bread advertising pins. This is a tremendous set! There are ten pins in the set (of which nine are Hall of Famers), each featuring a black-and-white portrait surrounded by a red border. While Babe Ruth, of course, is considered the key pin in this rare advertising pin issue, many other top Hall of Famers are included. All of the pins have been graded and encapsulated by PSA: Alexander (NM-MT 8), Cobb (EX-MT 6), Hornsby (NM 7), Johnson (EX-MT 6), Maranville (EX-MT 6), Moran (NM-MT 8), Ruth (EX-MT 6), Sisler (EX 5), Speaker (NM 7), and Wagner (EX-MT 6). The Mrs. Sherlock’s Bread pins have long been recognized as one of the most desirable advertising pin sets of the era. This is a quality pin issue. It is hard not to appreciate the tremendous value represented by the Mrs. Sherlock's pins compared to cards of similar vintage and rarity. The original back paper on all ten pins is complete and intact. This is a spectacular high-grade complete set of one of baseball pin collecting's most desirable sets. Diameter: 7/8 inches. Total: 10 pins. Reserve $500. Estimate $1,000/$2,000+. SOLD FOR $2,963
