1933-1936 Zeenut Collection with Coupons (27)

Starting Bid - $1,000, Sold For - $4,406

Collection of twenty-seven rare 1933-1936 Zeenut PCL cards, each with the original coupon attached to the bottom. This is an outstanding high-grade group from an extraordinary Zeenut collection assembled by a pioneer old-time collector over a period of many years. Zeenuts are scarce to begin with, but rarely survive with coupons intact. The coupons were intended to be cut off by youngsters and redeemed for prizes. This is a spectacular and amazing group of 1933-1936 Zeenut candy cards with tabs intact. The collection is comprised of the following: Barath (Vg), Beck (Nr/Mt), Borja (Seals; Ex), Carlyle (Vg-Ex), Cole (no glove; Ex), Coscarart (Missions; Ex-Mt), Francovich (Vg-Ex/Ex), Garibaldi (large pose; Vg/Vg-Ex), Gira (Ex/Ex-Mt), L. Johnson (Gd), Jolley (Gd-Vg), Joost (Vg), Mails (small pose; Ex), Marty (black sleeves; Ex), Massuci (batting follow-through; Vg), Masucci (different pose; Vg), McMullen (Oakland; Vg), Monzo (large pose; Vg), Mort (batting; Ex/Ex-Mt), Nitcholas (Ex), Raimondi (large pose; Vg-Ex), Salkeld (Gd), Sheehan (white sleeves; Vg-Ex), Stoneham (Vg-Ex), Thurston (Missions; Vg), Woodall (batting; Vg-Ex/Ex), and Wright (facing left; Vg). All of the cards have a much stronger appearance than suggested by their technically accurate assigned grades. This is a very significant group of extremely desirable and rarely seen cards with tabs from the 1933-1936 Zeenut series. Total: 27 cards. Reserve $1,000. Estimate $2,500+. SOLD FOR $4,406
