1915 E145 Cracker Jack PSA-Graded Hall of Famer Collection (3)

Starting Bid - $300, Sold For - $2,350

Collection of three 1915 E145 Cracker Jack Hall of Famers, each graded and encapsulated by PSA, all bright, clean, beautiful cards, each with an appearance far superior to its conservative technical grade: 1) #19 Chief Bender (VG 3). Well-centered card with even wear on all four corners, a light crease in each of the bottom two corners, and some very light caramel stains on the reverse (which of course is so common with Cracker Jack cards). 2) #57 Walter Johnson (VG-EX 4). Bright and crisp, with flawless colors, and light wear on the corners. Just a hint of caramel staining on reverse. This is a strong card. No creases. 3) #66 Nap Lajoie (GOOD 2). Centered to the right, with a small, light crease in three of the four corners, and a few small, light stains from Cracker Jack. These are three high-quality mid-grade Hall of Famers from the extremely condition-sensitive 1915 E145 Cracker Jack series, universally regarded as one of the premier baseball-card sets of the early twentieth century. The SMR value for the assigned grades is $1,200. Total: 3 cards. Reserve $300. Estimate $500/$1,000. SOLD FOR $2,350
