1912 T202 Hassan Triple Folders Graded Collection (5)

Starting Bid - $400, Sold For - $1,645

Sharp-looking collection of five different T202 Hassan Triple Folders, one of the most classic of all tobacco issues, with four Hall of Famers: Tris Speaker, Roger Bresnahan, Mordecai Brown, and Ed Walsh. The cards have all been graded by PSA, SGC, or BVG (Beckett). In the following condition composite, cards are identified by the numbers provided by the Standard Catalog of Baseball Cards checklist. The collection consists of the following: #14 Bresnahan/Oakes (HOF, PSA EX 5), 34 Walsh/Payne (HOF, PSA EX 5), 71 Suggs/McLean (SGC EX 60), 106 Speaker/Wood (HOF, PSA EX 5), and 116 Brown/Graham (HOF, BVG EX+ 5.5). As is well known, T202 Hassan Triple Folders are often graded very harshly by grading companies. This is a very bright, clean, attractive collection, with cards downgraded to account for the extremely minor technical flaws which are so common to the issue. The equivalent SMR value for the group is $1,695. Total: 5 cards. Reserve $400. Estimate $800/$1,200. SOLD FOR $1,645
