1911 T3 Turkey Red Cabinet-Card Collection (6)

Starting Bid - $300, Sold For - $1,293

Collection of six 1911 T3 Turkey Red cabinet cards, including two Hall of Famers (Chance and Clarke). This is very attractive high-quality mid-grade group from an old-time collector. All have checklist backs. The collection consists of the following: # 7 Camnitz (Vg-Ex), 8 Clarke (HOF, a few scattered stains on the back, otherwise Vg/Vg-Ex), 11 Dahlen (Gd-Vg), 32 Overall (Vg), 34 Rucker (Vg), and 47 Chance (HOF, Gd-Vg; being a horizontal format, Chance is one of the most distinctive Hall of Famers in the set). Turkey Red cabinets are widely recognized as one of the most substantial, highest-quality baseball-card sets ever issued. Turkey Reds are large cards that are very susceptible to damage. These cards have been downgraded due to various mostly minor flaws typical for T3s, and are visually far more appealing than suggested by their technically accurate grades. This is a great-looking small group including two HOFers. Total: 6 cabinets. Reserve $300. Estimate $500/$1,000. SOLD FOR $1,293
