1909-1911 T206 White Border SGC VG 40 Letters A-L Collection (67)

Starting Bid - $1,000, Sold For - $2,233

Collection of sixty-seven T206 White Border tobacco cards, each graded VG 40 by SGC. All are different and all have Piedmont or Sweet Caporal advertisements on back unless otherwise noted. This is part of a larger collection of T206 cards graded VG by SGC, which we have broken down into several smaller lots organized by condition. Naturally, this is an extraordinarily consistent collection in terms of condition, and represents an exceptional opportunity to acquire a very substantial group of sixty-seven different classic T206 cards in an extremely desirable and consistent grade. All of these cards are of players with last names beginning with "A" through "L": Abbott (Old Mill back), Ames (port.), Arndt, Bates, Becker, Bergen (catching), Bescher (port.), Birmingham, Bliss, Bowerman, Bradley (bat), Brain, Bransfield, Bridwell (no cap), Burch (batting), Burch (fielding), Burchell, Byrne, Chappelle, Clymer, Congalton, Conroy (bat), Covaleski, Crandall (cap), Cravath, Davis (H. Davis on front), Devlin, Donohue, Donovan (throwing), Donovan (port.), Dorner, Dubuc, Dygert, Easterly, Egan, Engle, Ewing, Ferguson, Fletcher, Fromme, Ganley, Graham (St. Louis), Hall, Herzog (NY), Hinchman (Toledo), Hoffman (St. Louis), Howell (hand at waist), Hummel, Hunter, Jones (port.), Jones (St. Louis), Karger, Killian (pitching), Kling, Knabe, Krause (port.), Kroh (Sovereign back), Lake (NY), Lake (no ball), Latham, Leach (port.), Leifield (batting), Leifield (pitching), Lennox, Liebhardt, Lord, and Lundgren (KC). This is a very attractive collection of classic T206 tobacco cards, which could serve as a significant foundation for the completion of a medium-grade set. The equivalent total SMR value for the assigned grades is $3,230. Total: 67 cards. Reserve $1,000. Estimate $2,000+. SOLD FOR $2,233
