1909-1911 T206 White Border SGC-Graded Collection (62)

Collection of sixty-two different T206 White Border tobacco cards, highlighted by three Hall of Famers including Walter Johnson, each graded by SGC (all submitted by REA). The condition breakdown is as follows: forty-four VG 40, fourteen GOOD 30, and four FAIR 20. This is part of a larger collection of T206 cards, which we have broken down into several smaller lots organized by condition. All the cards in this collection have Piedmont or Sweet Caporal advertisements on the back unless otherwise noted. VG 40 (forty-four cards): Anderson, Bowerman, Bridwell - no cap, Chase - blue, Crandall - no cap, Davis - H. Davis on front, Delehanty, Donlin - fielding, Donlin - bat (Old Mill back), Donovan - throwing, Doyle - throwing, Durham, Ferguson, Ferris, Fromme, Hoffman - Prov., Hummel, Jones - hands on hips, Karger, Lake - NY, McCormick, McGlynn (Polar Bear back), Mullin - throwing, Nichols (hands on knees), Oldring - fielding, O'Leary - port., Pastorius, Pattee, Pelty - horizontal, Phelan, Phillippe, Raymond, Reulbach - glove, Rhoades - right arm extended, Schlei - port., Schulte - back view, Shaw - St. Louis, Shaw - Providence, Sheckard - no glove, Stahl - no glove, Summers, Titus, White - port., and Wiltse - pitching. GOOD 30 (fourteen cards): Ball - NY (El Principe De Gales back), Chase - white cap, Downey - bat, Fletcher, Hoblitzell, Johnson - hands at chest (HOF, Old Mill back), Konetchy - glove above head, Lake - St. L., ball in hand, La Porte, Lavender, Pickering, Shannon, Tinker - port. (HOF), and Wilhelm - bat. FAIR 20 (four cards): Chance - bat (HOF), Ford (Sovereign back), Kling, and Quillen (Tolstoi back). This is a very bright, clean, attractive group, with many cards downgraded to account for small creases and minor technical flaws, and with most cards having an appearance far superior to their technically accurate assigned grades.
