1909-1911 T206 White Border SGC EX 60 Collection (61)

Starting Bid - $2,500, Sold For - $5,875

Collection of sixty-one T206 White Border tobacco cards, each encapsulated and graded EX 60 by SGC. All have Piedmont or Sweet Caporal advertisements on the back. These exceptionally strong cards have been culled from a much larger collection of T206 cards, which we have broken down into several smaller lots organized by condition. This collection represents a tremendous opportunity to acquire a very substantial group of sixty-one different classic T206 cards in an extremely desirable and consistent grade. Consists of the following: Abbaticchio (brown sleeves), Ball (NY), Ball (Cleveland), Barbeau, Barger, Barry (Milwaukee), Bell (hands above head), Berger, Blackburne, Brashear, Butler, Carrigan, Clancy, Cree, Criger, Cross, Delehanty (Louisville), Donlin (bat), Doyle (port.), Dunn (Baltimore), Flanagan, Ford, Frill, Ganzel, Gasper, Gilbert, Howell (port.), Jones (Detroit), Jordan (bat), Jordan (port.), Killian (port.), Knight (port.), Knight (bat), Kruger, LaPorte, Magee (bat), McBride, McElveen, Merkle (port.), Meyers, Mitchell (Cinn.), Mowrey, Murray (port.), Nicholls (hands on knees), Parent, Perring, Pfeffer, Powell, Quillen, Rhoades (hands at chest), Rucker (throwing), Schaeffer (Washington), Schlei (batting), Schmidt (port.), Sheckard (glove), Slagle, Stovall (bat), Tenney, Thielman, Wagner (bat on left), and Wiltse (pitching). This is a very impressive group that could serve as a substantial foundation for a tremendous high-grade T206 collection, or make a significant contribution to the completion of an extremely high quality set. The fact that all are in the identical grade, a grade which many believe offers one of the very best value for cards from the classic T206 series, makes this is a particularly noteworthy collection. This is an unusually large number of quality T206 cards in the same grade to be offered as a collection. The equivalent total SMR value for the collection is $7,575. Total: 61 cards. Reserve $2,500. Estimate $5,000+. SOLD FOR $5,875
