1909-1911 T206 Cy Young - Bare Hand - PSA EX-MT+ 6.5

Starting Bid - $500, Sold For - $3,525

Graded EX-MT+ 6.5 by PSA. Bare-hand-showing pose. Magnificent ultra high-grade T206 example of Hall of Fame pitcher Cy Young. This is a gorgeous card, bright and crisp, with four sharp corners, bold colors, flawless registration, and virtually perfect centering. A hint too much wear on the upper left (visible only under magnification) and an insignificant pinpoint dark spot on the lower green background appear to be all that could possibly keep this card from grading even higher. Sweet Caporal advertisement with crisp, bold red printing on reverse. This card (submitted for grading by REA) was very carefully chosen for purchase by our consignor in the early days of conventions in the 1980s, long before the advent of professional grading, precisely due to its outstanding condition. This is a stunning card! The SMR value for a PSA EX-MT 6 example of this card is $2,100. Reserve $500. Estimate $1,000+. SOLD FOR $3,525
