1909 E95 Philadelphia Caramel Sam Crawford

Starting Bid - $300, Sold For - $705

Graded EX 5 by PSA. One of only seven examples graded at this level. High-grade example of Hall of Famer Sam Crawford in a batting pose from the highly desirable E95 Philadelphia Caramel series. For a caramel card, PSA EX 5 is an impressive grade. Due to the thin stock on which they are printed, and their method of issue, these cards are rarely found in high grade. Bright and clean, both front and back, with virtually flawless registration, a hint of light, even wear to the corners, and a perfectly clean surface with particularly bold colors. The printing of the checklist on the back is bright and bold. The designs used in E95 are particularly noted for their beauty and are of all the more note as they are unique to the set. This is an exceptional high-grade E95 example and one of Hall of Famer Sam Crawford's most attractive cards. SMR value is $1,100. Reserve $300. Estimate $500/$1,000. SOLD FOR $705
