1940 R83 Gum, Inc. Lone Ranger PSA-Graded High Number Collection (13)
Starting Bid - $400, Sold For - $3,525
Collection of thirteen different extremely high-grade examples from the classic 1940 R83 Lone Ranger high-number series issued by Gum, Inc., each graded by PSA. Gum, Inc.'s 1940 Lone Ranger series is one of the era's most popular nonsport bubble-gum card issues. The PSA grades are as follows: One NM+ 7.5: #30. Nine NM 7: #25, 26, 29, 32, 41, 42, 44, 45, and 46. Two EX-MT 6: #40 and 47. One EX 5: #48 (condition rarity, last card in the set). This is an exceptional high-grade group, with each card worthy of inclusion in the finest "Lone Ranger" set or nonsport collection. In fact, this group all alone represents 27% of the set. These cards list for $1,530 in SMR (there is no SMR value for the NM+ 7.5 grade, so the one example graded at this level was calculated using the NM 7 value). This is a very substantial and sharp-looking high-grade group of these vintage nonsport classics. Total: 13 cards. Reserve $400. Estimate $800/$1,200+. SOLD FOR $3,525
