Pair of 1969 New York Mets Full World Series Tickets - Games 4 and 5

Starting Bid - $200, Sold For - $1,058

Two New York Mets complete full unused 1969 World Series tickets, each encapsulated and graded EX 5 by PSA. The tickets, for Game 4 and Game 5, respectively, are for field-level boxes and feature illustrations of both "Mr. Met" and the team's logo. Full tickets to any World Series are naturally scarce, especially one as historic as the 1969 fall classic. We can only imagine what circumstances resulted in these tickets surviving in perfect form. (A traffic jam? An accident? Illness?) Whatever was responsible, these unused tickets were saved as special keepsakes in this ideal form. The Mets defeated the heavily favored Orioles in five games to capture their first World Championship in franchise history, making these tickets among the most desirable souvenirs dating from the club's "Amazing" 1969 season. Total: 2 tickets. Reserve $200. Estimate $400/$800. SOLD FOR $1,058
