1912 T207 Brown Background Walter Johnson

Starting Bid - $500, Sold For - $1,293

Graded EX 60 by SGC. Crisp, clean, very attractive high-grade example of T207 Hall of Famer Walter Johnson. Johnson is one of the key cards in the T207 set. This is a great-looking card, extremely clean both front and back, with Johnson's image contrasting sharply against the dark brown background, and four square corners displaying just the slightest hint of wear. No creases and a particularly clean, essentially flawless surface, which looks all the more impressive examined closely under reflecting bright light. Centered 60/40 left to right and 40/60 top to bottom. Advertising for Recruit Little Cigars on the reverse. The equivalent SMR value for the assigned grade is $1,800. Reserve $500. Estimate $1,000/$1,500. SOLD FOR $1,293
