1912 E300 Plow's Candy PSA-Graded Collection (3)

Starting Bid - $500, Sold For - $2,350

Three high-grade examples from the extremely rare 1912 Plow's Candy card issue, each graded and encapsulated by PSA. The collection consists of the following: 1) Russ Ford, New York Americans (VG-EX 4); 2) Vean Gregg, Cleveland Americans (EX-MT 6); and 3) Hippo Vaughn, New York Americans (EX 5). Each of these cards is "1 of 1," with no other examples at any level graded by PSA. This unusual sepia toned, large format (3 x 4 inches) candy issue was not even known to exist until the 1960s. Plow's Candy cards are among the rarest and most distinctive of all cards of the era. Two of the cards (Gregg and Vaughn), in particular, are exceptionally crisp, and in our opinion are very conservatively graded. This is a very substantial and high-quality group of these significant rarities. Total 3 cards. Reserve $500. Estimate $1,000/$2,000. SOLD FOR $2,350
