1912 T207 Brown Background John McGraw - PSA NM 7- Highest Graded!

Starting Bid - $500, Sold For - $1,880

Graded NM 7 by PSA. Highest-graded example! Extremely high grade example of Hall of Famer John McGraw in a fielding pose from the T207 tobacco series. One of McGraw's most popular cards, but simply never found in such high grade because T207s so rarely survive in NM or better condition. Bright and clean, both front and back, with only the slightest hint of wear to the corners. The reverse is perfectly clean with a boldly printed Recruit Little Cigars advertisement. McGraw, who was a star player in the 1890s with the legendary Baltimore Orioles, is considered one of the greatest managers in baseball history. Nicknamed the "Little Napoleon," McGraw led the Giants to ten pennants and three World Championships during his thirty-one year tenure with the club. He was elected to the Hall of Fame in 1937. High-grade example of one of McGraw's most striking and condition-sensitive cards. Reserve $500. Estimate (open). SOLD FOR $1,880
