1912 T207 Brown Background Robert Wallace - PSA NM 7- Highest Graded!

Starting Bid - $500, Sold For - $4,700

Graded NM 7 by PSA. Highest-graded example! Presented is a classic portrait image of Hall of Famer Bobby Wallace from the T207 tobacco series. Bobby Wallace is one of only thirteen Hall of Famers in the T207 Brown Background set. This example is bright and crisp, with a perfectly registered image set against a deep brown background, flawless colors, four square corners displaying a touch of wear, and centered a hint to the left. The reverse is fairly clean with a small surface abrasion to the left of his name. Wallace's career spanned an incredible twenty-four years (1895-1918). By his final season he was the only still active player who began his Major League career before 1900, and for years had been a living throwback to an earlier era. This is a very attractive high-grade example of one of baseball's most durable Hall of Famers from the very condition-sensitive T207 tobacco set. Reserve $500. Estimate (open). SOLD FOR $4,700
