1912 T202 Hassan Triple Folders PSA EX-MT 6 Collection (37)

Starting Bid - $5,000, Sold For - $8,813

Collection of thirty-seven different high-grade 1912 T202 Triple Folders, each graded EX-MT 6 by PSA. This is an exceptionally crisp, clean, and substantial high-grade group, highlighted by nine Hall of Famers including Christy Mathewson. Extremely strong collection of Ex-Mt condition T202 cards that could provide the foundation for an extraordinary high-grade T202 set. In the following condition composite, cards are identified by the numbers provided by the Standard Catalog of Baseball Cards checklist. The collection consists of the following: #7 Mullin/Stanage, 12 Gaspar/McLean, 20 Chance/Shean (HOF), 21 Chase/Wloter, 22 Clarke/Gibson (HOF), 23 Gibson/Phillipe, 27 Clarke/Gibson (HOF), 33 Ball/Stovall, 34 Payne/Walsh (HOF), 38 Byrne/Clarke (HOF), 48 Camnitz/Gibson, 51 Dooin/Magee, 52 Gibson/Phillippe, 53 Dooin/Doolan, 55 Dooin/Titus, 61 Chance/Evers (HOF), 66 Ford/Vaughn, 71 McLean/Suggs, 74 Gray/Groom, 79 Bresnahan/McGraw (HOF), 80 Crandall/Meyers, 81 Becker/Devore, 85 Mathewson/Meyers (HOF), 86 Murray/Snodgrass, 89 Bridwell/Kling, 93 Dooin/Lobert, 98 Bates/Bescher, 99 Lord/Oldring, 102 Lord/Oldring, 110 Evans/Huggins (HOF), 112 Ford/Vaughn, 114 Latham/Raymond, 117 Hauser/Konetchy, 119 Egan/Hoblitzell, 120 Birmingham/Turner, 123 Ames/Meyers, and 128 Meyers/Wiltse. This is a tremendous group of thirty-seven high-grade cards from one of the premier tobacco-card sets of the era, with most cards downgraded from even higher levels due to very minor technical flaws so common to the issue, and most cards having an appearance superior to their assigned grades. This collection represents over 30% of the set and could serve as a substantial foundation for the assembly of a world-class set. Each of these cards would be a worthy addition or upgrade to any high-grade T202 collection or set. SMR value for the group is $16,200. Total 37 cards. Reserve $5,000. Estimate $10,000+. SOLD FOR $8,813
