1911 T205 Gold Borders PSA- & SGC-Graded Collection (30)

Starting Bid - $500, Sold For - $1,880

Collection of thirty different T205 Gold Borders, all graded and encapsulated by PSA (22) or SGC (8). This is a very attractive collection of T205 Gold Borders, highlighted by Hall of Famers Hugh Duffy, Clark Griffith, Hughie Jennings, and Rube Marquard. The PSA grades are as follows: Three VG-EX+ 4.5: McBride, Murray, and Schaefer. Eighteen VG-EX 4: Bailey, Byrne (Polar Bear back), Camnitz, Delahanty, Duffy (HOF), Fletcher, Hemphill, Knight (Polar Bear back), Livingston, Lobert (MK), Marquard (HOF), Mattern (Polar Bear back), Merkle, O'Leary, Snodgrass, Summers, Stahl (Sovereign back), and Stovall (Polar Bear back). One VG 3: Bescher. The SGC grades are as follows: Seven VG/EX 50: Griffith (HOF), Jennings (HOF), Krause, McElveen, McIntyre, Phillippe, and Quinn (Broad Leaf back). One VG 40: Jacklitsch. T205 Gold Borders are one of the most condition-sensitive of all card issues, as well as one of card collecting's most popular and classic sets. This is an exceptional group that could serve as an excellent foundation for the building of an extremely strong mid-grade T205 set, or make a significant contribution to the building of a set currently being assembled. The equivalent SMR value for the group (not including the one qualified card) is $2,545. Total 30 cards. Reserve $500. Estimate $1,000/$2,000. SOLD FOR $1,880
