1911 T205 Gold Border High-Grade SGC-Graded Collection (7)

Starting Bid - $1,000, Sold For - $7,638

Extraordinary collection of seven different extremely high grade T205 Gold Borders. All are graded and encapsulated by SGC (except one PSA): Three NM+ 86: Hummell, Leach, and Mitchell. Four NM 84: Doolan, Needham, Smith, and Steinfeldt (PSA NM 7). The T205 Gold Border set is one of card collecting's most popular, and also one of vintage card collecting's most condition-sensitive issues. The gold borders make collecting the set in high-grade particularly challenging. It is rare to find any T205 Gold Borders graded NM 84 or better by SGC, let alone a collection of seven. These seven cards are the cream of the crop from a high-grade set that has been broken up and offered in numerous lots in this auction. Only 2% of all T205s ever graded by SGC have graded NM 84 or better. This is a magnificent collection of ultra high-grade T205s. These seven cards would be prize additions to any world-class T205 set. Total 7 cards. Reserve $1,000. Estimate $2,000+. SOLD FOR $7,638
