Circa 1910 T201, T205, T206 Tobacco Card-Collection (141 cards, 45 HOFers!) Plus P2 Sweet Caporal Pins (58)

This collection of 141 1910-era tobacco cards consists of twenty-eight T201 Mecca Double-Folders, forty-five T205 "Gold Borders," and sixty-eight T206 "White Borders," plus fifty-eight P2 Sweet Caporal pins (for a total of 199 items). This is an original-owner collection that has remained untouched, saved by the family of the original owner since the 1910 era until now. This collection is loaded with highlights. Included are forty-five Hall of Famers (among them three Cobbs, three Mathewsons, four Johnsons, and Young), a few unusual T206 backs, as well as many other high-demand cards. 1) T201 Mecca Double-Folders (28 cards): Twenty-one cards range from Gd to Vg, including Baker/Collins (2), Bender/Oldring, Wheat/Bergen, Bresnahan/Huggins, Bridwell/Mathewson, Cicotte/Thoney ("Black Sox"), Cobb/Crawford, Falkenberg/Lajoie, and Lake/Wallace; seven cards range from Pr to Fr, including Evers/Chance and Walsh/Payne. 2) T205 Gold Borders (45 cards): Twenty-one cards range from Gd to Vg, including Crandall ("t" crossed), Gray (no stats), Kleinow, and Tinker; twenty-four cards are Pr-Fr (with a few trimmed), including Bresnahan (mouth closed), Brown (trimmed), Cicotte ("Black Sox"), Clarke (trimmed), Johnson, Mathewson, Turner, and Wallace/no cap, one line. 3) T206 White Borders (68 cards): Twenty-four cards range from Gd to Vg, including Cobb (red), Collins (Minn.), Jennings (one hand, Vg-Ex), Willis (bat, American Beauty), and a common (Schlei, batting) with a Lenox back; forty-four cards are Pr-Fr, including Baker (American Beauty), Brown (Wash.), Chance (bat), Chance (yellow), Cobb (bat off), Davis (Chicago, brown Hindu), Evers (Chicago), Huggins (port.), Johnson (port.), Marquard (pitching), and Mathewson (dark cap). The backs are almost all Sweet Caporal and Piedmont but also included are one Lenox, one Hindu (brown), fifteen American Beauty, one Old Mill, and one Tolstoi. 4) Fifty-eight P2 Sweet Caporal Pins: The group ranges from Vg to Ex (includes a few lesser). Includes thirteen Hall of Famers: Baker, Chance, Clarke, Duffy, Hooper, Huggins, Johnson (2), Jennings, Tinker, Wallace, Wheat, and Young ("Old"). This is a greater starter collection of tobacco cards from the era's most popular and classic sets, with an extraordinarily high concentration of Hall of Famers, and accompanied by a collection of fifty-eight P2 Sweet Caporal pins.
