1962 Topps Mars Attacks #11 "Destroy The City" - PSA MINT 9 - Highest Graded!

Starting Bid - $400, Sold For - $2,938

Graded MINT 9 by PSA. Highest-graded example! One of only three examples graded at this level with none graded higher. Extraordinary ultra-high grade 1962 Topps Mars Attacks bubblegum card #11, entitled “Destroy The City." The detailed artwork on this card is a typically gruesome scene, which captures the carnage in and destruction of a city by the invaders from space. The card has brilliant colors with four razor-sharp corners and centered just a hint to the right. As of this writing, out of 9,426 cards graded to date, a total of only seventy-three Mars Attacks have ever been graded MINT 9, and none have been graded GEM MINT 10. SMR value is $750. We have found that at auction cards from extremely popular sets with very low populations in the highest grades often sell for far more than SMR, and this is especially the case with classic vintage sets. This is an extremely high-grade 1962 Topps Mars Attacks card, the highest-graded example. Reserve $400. Estimate $800+. SOLD FOR $2,938
