1909 "James J. Jeffries Championship Souvenir Playing Cards" Complete Set - All PSA Graded

Issued in 1909 by the W. P. Jeffries Company of Los Angeles, California, the "James J. Jeffries Championship Souvenir Playing Cards" set features fifty-four cards with extremely striking images of famous boxers (Sullivan, Johnson, Corbett, Attell, Jeffries, Sharkey, Fitzsimmons, etc.) and fight scenes. The backs feature an image of heavyweight champion James Jeffries dressed in street clothes. Offered is a complete 53-card set in virtually perfect condition, entirely graded by PSA. Ten cards are graded GEM MT 10, thirty-nine are MINT 9, one is NM 7, one is EX 5 (Joker), and two are VG-EX 4. The set is accompanied by the original six-page booklet which features a summary of all the cards offered in the set. Also included are the original box and the "Title" card (PSA VG-EX 4). All the cards are bright, crisp, and clean, having been beautifully preserved in their original box over the years. In any condition, this set represents one of the most extraordinary values in vintage boxing-card collecting. This is an extraordinary ultra high-grade set, by far the finest we have ever offered, of one of the most substantial and well-produced of all early boxing-card issues.
