1933 R319 Goudey #181 Babe Ruth - PSA NM-MT 8

Starting Bid - $5,000, Sold For - $15,275

Graded NM-MT 8 by PSA. Of the 711 examples graded to date by PSA, only seven examples have ever been graded higher. In fact, of the over 2,500 1933 Goudey Ruths representing all four poses that have been graded in total in the history of PSA, only fifteen have ever been graded higher. Beautiful and absolutely stunning high-grade example of one of Babe Ruth’s most classic cards, #181 with green background from the 1933 Goudey series. One of the finest and the highest-grade example of this classic card we have ever handled. The offered card is extraordinary in all respects. Perfect registration. Flawless colors. Sharp corners. Perfectly bright and clean, both front and back. Snow-white borders and centered just the slightest hint to the top left. The reverse is also essentially unimprovable, bright and crisp, with bold green print. This is a world-class example of one Babe Ruth's most important and highly prized baseball cards. Spectacular NM-MT example. The SMR value for the assigned grade is $16,500. Reserve $5,000. Estimate $10,000/$15,000.
