1949 Leaf #30 Bill Goodman Short-Print - PSA NM-MT 8

Starting Bid - $500, Sold For - $1,645

Graded NM-MT 8 by PSA. Highest graded, one of only seven examples graded at this level with none graded higher. Offered is an extraordinary high-grade example of this short-printed "Rare Leaf" rookie card featuring Bill Goodman. The 1949 Leaf Bubble Gum card of Goodman is a genuine rarity, being one of the forty-nine rare cards in the 1948-1949 Leaf Gum Co. set. Leafs are sometimes technically in high grade, but with serious problems related to the unusual and often inconsistent Leaf printing process. This pack-fresh card is perfectly crisp and clean, with four sharp corners, bold colors, and virtually flawless registration. Centered to the bottom approximately 70/30. The reverse is also crisp and perfectly clean but centered to the bottom left (approximately 10/90). Outstanding extremely high-grade example worthy of the finest 1948-1949 Leaf set in the world. Reserve $500. Estimate $1,000/$2,000. SOLD FOR $1,645
