1938 R323 Goudey "Heads-Up" #268 Demaree - SGC MINT 96

Starting Bid - $500, Sold For - $2,350

Graded MINT 96 by SGC. Highest graded! Stunning ultra high-grade example of card #268 Frank Demaree from the 1938 Goudey “Heads-Up” series, one of the most popular sets of the era. Not surprisingly, the offered card displays perfect centering, with four razor-sharp corners, flawless colors, and perfect registration. The reverse has just the slightest hint of natural toning (many collectors consider this a positive attribute and this in no way affects the overall Mint grade). This is the only MINT 96 1938 Goudey Demaree that SGC has graded, and one of only ten MINT 96 “Heads-Up” of any player that SGC has ever graded. A simply astounding Mint card, which would enhance or upgrade any high-grade set or collection. This was submitted for grading by REA from the Charlie Conlon Collection. It is being offered separately from the rest of his 1938 Goudey near-complete set due to its extraordinary high grade. The equivalent SMR value for the assigned grade is $2,200. Reserve $500. Estimate $1,000/$2,000. SOLD FOR $2,350
