1911 D310 Pacific Coast Biscuit Weaver

Starting Bid - $500, Sold For - $5,875

Graded FAIR 20 by SGC. One of only six examples ever graded by SGC. Extremely rare and highly desirable card from the 1911 D310 Pacific Coast Biscuit series featuring future “Black Sox” member Buck Weaver during his minor league playing days with San Francisco. This is an outstanding high-grade example, which we sent to SGC for grading. The card has been severely downgraded only due to paper remnants from scrapbook removal on the checklist reverse and is otherwise in Excellent condition. This is an extremely attractive card of Weaver in full uniform leaning to his right making a catch. Due to its method of issue (one card per box) and large size (2.5 x 4.25 inches), this card is usually found in far lower grade. The 72-card 1911 D310 Pacific Coast Biscuit set is one of the rarest of all Pacific Coast League issues and one of the rarest of all 1910-era card issues. This is a very strong and extremely attractive example of the key card from this rare minor league issue. Reserve $500. Estimate $1,000/$2,000+. SOLD FOR $5,875
