1911 E100 Bishop & Co. PCL Type II Buck Weaver

Starting Bid - $500, Sold For - $4,700

Graded FAIR 1.5 by BVG. Very pleasing technically low-grade example of the legendary Buck Weaver from the rare and very substantial E100 Bishop & Co. PCL Type II set. Despite the modest grade, this is an extremely attractive example of one of the most classic and sought-after of all Buck Weaver cards. The card displays a crisp, perfectly registered image set against a dark green background, no creases, and light wear on the square corners. The blank back is perfectly clean with no staining. The card has been appropriately downgraded by BVG due to the surface paper loss on the top right. This is an extremely desirable grade for this classic card, with an appearance far superior to its technically accurate grade, and providing a relatively affordable alternative to a far more expensive high-grade example. Reserve $500. Estimate $1,000++. SOLD FOR $4,700
