1910-Era Card Collection: Tango Eggs, E90-1 Stahl, and E93 Collins (3)

Starting Bid - $1,000, Sold For - $4,113

Collection of three extremely high quality 1910-era baseball cards, from three different, highly regarded issues, including one Hall of Famer. Each of these cards is special: the Tango Eggs card is a high-quality sample card from one of card collecting's most fascinating 1910-era sets; the E90-1 Stahl is the highest-graded example of one of the key rare cards in the E90-1 set; and the E93 Collins is a tremendous high-grade Hall of Famer sample card from one of the most popular "E" card sets of the era. Each card has been graded and encapsulated by either PSA or BVG (Beckett): 1) 1909-1911 E90-1 American Caramel: Jake Stahl (PSA EX 5; highest graded! Bright and clean, with a perfectly registered image set against a striking red background). 2) 1910 E93 Standard Caramel: Eddie Collins (BVG EX-MT 6; centered slightly to the top, with flawless colors, and strong corners; slight paper sliver at top left could be interpreted as trimmed or sheet-cut. The checklist-reverse is perfectly clean). 3) 1916 Tango Eggs: George McQuillan (PSA EX 5; clean and crisp, with square corners, and brilliant colors). This is a very attractive collection of three particularly high quality cards from three of the era's most popular and classic sets. The Tango is not listed in the SMR, but the SMR value of the E90-1 Stahl is $1,500 and the equivalent SMR value in Ex-Mt of the Beckett-graded E93 Collins is $2,500. Total 3 cards. Reserve $1,000. Estimate $2,000+. SOLD FOR $4,113
