1909-1911 T206 Nap Lajoie - Bat - PSA NM-MT 8

Starting Bid - $1,000, Sold For - $7,638

Graded NM-MT 8 by PSA. One of six graded at this level, with none graded higher. This is a bright, clean, extremely high grade PSA example of this classic tobacco card of Hall of Famer Nap Lajoie, considered by many to be among the most attractive of all T206 images. All four corners are sharp, with just the slightest hint of wear on the very tips. The card displays perfect registration, snow-white borders, flawless colors, and is centered slightly to the top. Polar Bear advertising on reverse. Because of how they were packaged unprotected from the tobacco, T206s with Polar Bear backs typically have serious tobacco staining. The back on this card is extremely bright and clean, and is exceptional for any T206 with Polar Bear advertising. SMR value is $4,350. Reserve $1,000. Estimate $2,000/$4,000. SOLD FOR $7,638
