1909 E95 and 1911 M116 Hall of Famer Card Collection (3)

Starting Bid - $500, Sold For - $2,115

Collection of three high-quality Hall of Famers, all dating from the 1910 era, from two different highly regarded prewar issues. All three cards have each been graded and encapsulated by PSA or SGC. 1) 1909 E95 Philadelphia Caramel: Johnny Evers (SGC EX 60, Bright and clean, with just a hint of corner wear, and centered slightly to the left). 2) 1911 M116 Sporting Life (2 cards): Connie Mack (PSA EX 5, perfectly centered, crisp and clean, light wear on the corners) and Eddie Plank (PSA EX 5, perfectly clean, both front and back, four sharp corners, centered slightly towards the bottom left). Plank is a particularly popular card in the M116 set due to its great similarity to the famous and extremely rare T206 Plank. This is a very attractive trio of high-grade Hall of Famers from two classic 1910-era issues. The equivalent SMR value for the assigned grades is $2,625. Total 3 cards. Reserve $500. Estimate $1,000/$2,000+. SOLD FOR $2,115
