1909-1911 E90-1 American Caramel PSA-Graded Collection (12)

Starting Bid - $1,000, Sold For - $2,350

Collection of twelve E90-1 American Caramel cards including six Hall of Famers, each graded and encapsulated by PSA or SGC: Bender (HOF, VG-EX 4), Bresnahan (HOF, VG 3), two Chance (HOF, EX 5 and VG-EX 4; the EX 5 example in our opinion is significantly overgraded due to surface scratches on Chance's face; the SMR value of the EX 5 Chance is $1,200), Criger (VG-EX 4), Dooin (VG-EX 4), Fromme (SGC VG/EX 50), Howell/follow thru (VG-EX 4), Keeler/pink port. (HOF, VG-EX 4), Summers (SGC VG/EX 50), Tannehill/Chicago N.L. (VG-EX 4), and Wallace (HOF, VG 3). The E90-1 set is the most widely collected of all 1910-era caramel issues. This collection has a particularly high concentration of Hall of Famers and is a very substantial group of the most widely collected and popular of all 1910-era caramel card sets. Overall very consistent and reasonably uniform in grade. The total SMR value (not including the VG 3s of Bresnahan and Wallace) is $3,550. Total 12 cards. Reserve $1,000. Estimate $2,000+. SOLD FOR $2,350
