1903 E107 Breisch-Williams Scoops Carey

Starting Bid - $300, Sold For - $1,880

Graded GOOD 30 by SGC. Extremely rare E107 Breisch-Williams card of Washington’s first baseman, Scoops Carey. Carey only played four seasons in the Major Leagues. He is well known among tobacco-card collectors for his inclusion in the Southern Leaguer subset from the popular T206 White Borders series. This is a very attractive example with a very strong appearance for its modest but technically accurate SGC-assigned grade. The card has two light stains on the left border, and on the reverse is a very small light stain on the right edge that is of little or no consequence. This is a very attractive example from one of card collecting's most revered sets. Reserve $300. Estimate $500+. SOLD FOR $1,880
