Lot # 609 (of 1673)   < Previous Lot | Next Lot >

1909-1911 T206 "White Borders" Hall of Fame Collection (3)

Starting Bid - $500.00 , Sold For - $1,645.00

Three classic T206 Hall of Famers, each an extremely attractive key Hall of Famer in the set. Each of these cards is of a particularly significant Hall of Famer and among the most desirable highlight cards in the T206 set. All three have been graded and encapsulated by BVG: 1) Walter Johnson (hands at chest) VG-EX+ 4.5 (slight "diamond cut" and centered slightly to the upper left); 2) Nap Lajoie (port.) VG-EX 4 (particularly attractive, beautifully centered, and conservatively graded Lajoie portrait pose, one of his most popular cards); and 3) Tris Speaker EX-MT 6 (note: the label on the card is mislabeled as Bob Spade). This card does not appear to be Ex-Mt and this may relate to the BVG label error. Speaker has no creases, is a bright, clean and well-centered card, but has rounded corners. We grade Speaker Vg to Vg-Ex. This is a sharp-looking trio of key Hall of Famers, each with bright colors. Total 3 cards. Reserve $500. Estimate $1,000/$1,500. SOLD FOR $1,645.00
