1936 V355 World Wide Gum #51 Joe DiMaggio Rookie

Starting Bid - $500.00 , Sold For - $9,400.00

Graded PR-FR 1 by PSA. Extremely pleasing technically low-grade example of Joe DiMaggio's rookie card from this rare, unusual, and very substantial 1930s Canadian Goudey issue. Despite the modest grade, this is an extremely attractive example of one of the most classic and sought-after of all Joe DiMaggio cards. We grade this card Good. The card displays a crisp, perfectly focused image, and virtually perfect centering. The card has corner wear, two very light spots of toning, and some creases, including a heavy vertical crease which runs down half of the middle of the card. And it looks great! This is a very unusual, rarely offered, and extremely desirable grade for this classic card, providing a relatively affordable alternative to a far more expensive high-grade example. Reserve $500. Estimate $1,000/$1,500. SOLD FOR $9,400.00
