1933 R319 Goudey #79 Red Faber PSA NM-MT 8

Starting Bid - $400.00 , Sold For - $1,880.00

Graded NM-MT 8 by PSA. Only one example of this card has ever been graded higher. A great highly graded example from the 1933 Goudey set of Hall of Famer Red Faber. Faber's best years were in 1921 and 1922, when he won 25 and 21 games with the White Sox. He led the league in ERA and complete games both years. From 1914 through 1923, he had ten consecutive winning seasons. Bright and crisp, perfectly clean, with sharp corners, an extremely strong image, and a virtually flawless off-white reverse. Centered very slightly to the bottom right. A very attractive high-grade PSA NM-MT 8 R319 Goudey example of Hall of Famer Red Faber. SMR value for the assigned grade is $1,300. Reserve $400. Estimate $800/$1,200. SOLD FOR $1,880.00
