1888 N162 Goodwin Champions Cap Anson PSA EX 5

Starting Bid - $1,000.00 , Sold For - $5,875.00

Graded EX 5 by PSA. One of only six examples graded at this level by PSA. An outstanding high-grade example of the key card from this very popular and colorful set of fifty, issued by Old Judge and Gypsy Queen. This striking Excellent example is beautifully centered, with bright, flawless colors and perfect registration. Perfectly clean, both front and back. The front is Ex-Mt. The card has been downgraded to Ex due to the lightest hint of extra white paper fibers on the surface in a small area in the lower right (very common with N162s) and just a little too much corner wear on the lower right. This is a magnificent example of one of the most classic of all nineteenth-century baseball cards. Reserve $1,000. Estimate $2,000/$4,000. SOLD FOR $5,875.00
