1929 R316 Kashin Publications Babe Ruth SGC NM 84

Starting Bid - $300.00 , Sold For - $1,762.50

Graded NM 84 by SGC. Extremely high-grade large card (3.5 x 4.5 inches) features the “Bambino” in a classic batting pose. The key card to this 101-card set is perfectly clean, both front and back, with four sharp corners, flawless picture quality, and centered very slightly to the right. There are few cards of Ruth dating from the 1920s. Issued during the short window of time between the strip cards of the early 1920s and the colorful bubble-gum cards of the early 1930s, the R316 set has always been appreciated for its powerful image of Ruth and unusual design. Reserve $300. Estimate $500/$1,000. SOLD FOR $1,762.50
