1921 Exhibit Supply Co. Babe Ruth PSA EX-MT 6

Starting Bid - $500.00 , Sold For - $5,287.50

Graded EX-MT 6 by PSA. Highest-graded example (one of three with none graded higher) of one of Ruth's truly great early 1920s cards. 1921 was the very first year the legendary Exhibit Supply Company of Chicago issued cards. They would go on to issue sets for the next fifty years. These cards were sold by Exhibit card machines at amusement parks and penny arcades, one penny per card. This is the key card from the set and one of Ruth's earliest cards featuring him with the Yankees. The card is bright and crisp, with no creases, four square corners, and outstanding picture quality. An outstanding and extremely high grade example of what is universally recognized by collectors as one of Ruth’s most classic cards. Reserve $500. Estimate $1,000+. SOLD FOR $5,287.50
