1915 E145 Cracker Jack #161 Edd Rousch (Roush) SGC NM/MT 88

Starting Bid - $1,000.00 , Sold For - $2,937.50

Graded NM/MT 88 by SGC. Highest-graded example. Outstanding super high-grade factory-set fresh card featuring Hall of Famer Edd Roush. It is interesting to note that Roush's name is misspelled as "Rousch" on this card. This is an incredible high-grade gem. While Cracker Jacks were issued one card per box, in 1915 the entire set of 176 cards could also be ordered by mail in exchange for 100 coupons, or 1 coupon plus 25 cents. Cracker Jacks are universally regarded as one of the most classic and highly regarded baseball card sets ever produced. This is a stunning example, perfectly clean front and back, no stains, four razor-sharp corners, and with a particularly deep red background. Centered just a hint to the right, with a very slight "diamond cut." The reverse of the card is perfectly bright and clean, with crisp, bold black text. It is rare to find any Cracker Jack card in such high grade, let alone a high-grade example of a legendary Hall of Famer. The equivalent SMR value for the assigned grade is $3,200. Reserve $1,000. Estimate $2,000/$3,000. SOLD FOR $2,937.50
