1911 T205 Gold Borders PSA NM 7 Collection (3)

Starting Bid - $500.00 , Sold For - $1,762.50

Three different extremely high grade T205 Gold Borders. All three are graded NM 7 by PSA: Paddy Livingston (one of just six graded at this level with only one graded higher), Bris Lord/Athletics (one of just six graded at this level with only one graded higher), and Rebel Oakes (one of just three graded at this level with only one graded higher). The T205 Gold Border set is legendary for being one of vintage card collecting's most condition-sensitive issues. Out of 18,141 T205s graded to date by PSA, only 860 have been graded NM, 179 NM-MT 8, and four cards MINT 9. The three cards in this lot would provide upgrades to virtually any world-class T205 set in the process of being assembled, or contribute positively to just about any PSA Registry set. We have found that at auction cards from extremely popular sets with very low populations in the highest grades often sell for far more than SMR, and this is especially the case with classic vintage sets such as the T205 Gold Borders. SMR for each card is $550, which seems conservative given the difficulty of acquiring cards from this set in extremely high grade. Total 3 cards. Reserve $500. Estimate $1,000/$1,500+. SOLD FOR $1,762.50
