1909 T204 Ramly Tobacco SGC-Graded Collection (3)

Starting Bid - $300.00 , Sold For - $1,997.50

Three particularly crisp and sharp-looking T204 Ramly tobacco cards, two graded EX 60 by SGC, and one graded VG 40 by SGC. Among the most elegantly designed card issues ever produced, T204 Ramlys are noted for the distinctive fancy gold-embossed borders that surround the oval photographic portraits. They are universally regarded as one of the most beautiful card issues ever created. This collection of three high-grade examples is comprised of the following: Charlie Chech SGC EX 60, Ed Cicotte SGC VG 40 (Note: Cicotte's name is misspelled as "Cicolte" on this card. Downgraded from Vg-Ex due to a few extremely minor corner creases, still a very striking and clean card of this important future "Black Sox" player), and T.H. Murnane SGC EX 60 (Note: Murnane's name is misspelled as "Murname" on this card). This is a beautiful, crisp, clean, and very striking trio of cards from this classic set. Total 3 cards. Reserve $300. Estimate $500/$1,000. SOLD FOR $1,997.50
