1903 E107 Breisch-Williams Doc Casey

Starting Bid - $200.00 , Sold For - $587.50

Graded POOR 10 by SGC. E107 of third baseman Doc Casey of the Chicago Nationals. Nap Lajoie credited Doc Casey for bringing him into pro ball. It is interesting to note that Casey is actually pictured in a Detroit Tigers uniform on this card (the team he played for in 1901-1902), though he is appropriately identified below as a member of the Chicago Cubs. Low-grade but still a very desirable example from this extremely rare early twentieth-century series. Reserve $200. Estimate $400+. SOLD FOR $587.50
