Lot # 141 (of 1673)   < Previous Lot | Next Lot >

1903 E107 Breisch-Williams Danny Murphy

Starting Bid - $200.00 , Sold For - $705.00

Graded POOR 10 by SGC. E107 Breisch-Williams featuring Danny Murphy of the Philadelphia Athletics. A second baseman for the Athletics' early champions, Murphy yielded the position to Eddie Collins in 1909. He batted a career-high .329 in 1911. The card has been downgraded because of a small chip of paper loss on the right edge; it is otherwise Ex. The back is clean and crisp. This is a very attractive example with an appearance far superior to its technically accurate SGC grade. Reserve $200. Estimate $400+. SOLD FOR $705.00
