1955 Topps #4 Al Kaline SGC MINT 96

Starting Bid - $800.00, Sold For - $2,115.00

Graded MINT 96 by SGC. Stunning pack-fresh example of this classic second-year card of Hall of Famer Al Kaline. This is one of only ten 1955 Topps Al Kaline cards to ever receive a grade of MINT by PSA or SGC. The card exhibits bold, bright colors, four razor-sharp corners, perfect registration, and a flawless surface. Of special note, there are no print lines, which are a common problem with this card, as well as with many other 1955 Topps cards. Centered just slightly to the left border (approximately 45/55), this is a card that approaches perfection. Perfectly crisp and clean, both front and back, and with perfect gloss. This is a world-class high-grade example of one of the most popular of all Al Kaline cards, and one of the most classic of all 1950s bubble-gum cards. It would be hard to imagine a finer example. The equivalent SMR value is $2,650. Reserve $800. Estimate $1,500/$2,500+. SOLD FOR $2,115.00
