Extremely attractive and overall very high grade collection of twenty-one (twenty ballplayers and one jockey) high-quality N172 Old Judges, each graded and encapsulated by SGC. This is great-looking group of Old Judges, many with exceptionally strong, bold images. Three EX/NM 80: Bakley (Cleveland), Nichols (Pittsburgh), and Shoch (Washington). Seven EX+ 70: Glasscock (Indpls), Manning (KC), Mattimore (NY, horizontal sliding pose), Sowders (Boston), Tiernan (NY), Watkins (portrait, mgr Kansas City), and Williamson (Chicago). Five EX 60: Arundel (Indpls), Barkley (KC), Long (KC), O'Brien (Wash), and Van Haltren (Chicago). Three VG/EX 50: Hallman (Phil), Lauer (Pitt), and Nicholson (Cleveland). One VG 40: Bourke (Jockey). Two GOOD 30: Buffington (Phil) and Toole (Bklyn). This is an extremely impressive, very clean, and very carefully assembled collection of N172 Old Judges, obviously put together with great care one card at a time, with a concern for contrast and the overall eye-appeal of each card.
