1915 E145 Cracker Jack #3 Joe Tinker PSA NM-MT 8

Starting Bid - $1,500.00, Sold For - $6,462.50

Graded NM-MT 8 by PSA. Highest-graded example. One of only eight 1915 Cracker Jacks of Joe Tinker graded at this level with none graded higher. High-grade factory-set-fresh card. Cracker Jacks are universally regarded as one of the most classic and highly regarded baseball card sets ever produced. While Cracker Jacks were issued one card per box, in 1915 the entire set of 176 cards could also be ordered by mail in exchange for 100 coupons, or 1 coupon plus 25 cents. This card is no doubt from one of these original factory sets. Clean front and back, with no stains, and with four sharp corners. All Cracker Jacks are extremely rare to find in high-grade condition, but as card #3 in the 1915 Cracker Jack set, this card naturally gravitates to the top of the stack and therefore tends to have been subject to more wear. So, in addition to being a key Hall of Famer, Tinker is also somewhat of a condition rarity, and a particularly difficult card to find in such an incredibly high grade. SMR value for the assigned graded is $5,000. Reserve $1,500. Estimate $3,000/$5,000. SOLD FOR $6,462.50
