1914 E145 Cracker Jack #60 Zeider PSA NM 7

Starting Bid - $300.00, Sold For - $1,292.50

Graded NM 7 by PSA. Only two examples have ever been graded at this level, with none graded higher. Card #60 Rollie Zeider, 3rd baseman of the Chicago Federals, is an extremely significant card in the 1914 #144 series Cracker Jack set as this is one of the few cards in the set that was not issued in the 1915 series (note: Zeider appears in the #144 set on two cards in different poses. The second pose was issued in both sets. The card #60 pose was issued only in the 1914 set). The 1914 Cracker Jacks, of course, are far rarer to find in high grade than their 1915 counterparts. Unlike the 1915 set, the 1914 set was not available by mail, and cards could only be obtained one per package in boxes of Cracker Jacks. Given that they were issued in this manner, not surprisingly, few 1914 Cracker Jacks have survived in high grade. This is a stunning high-grade example of one of the most important cards in the set, with no staining on the front or back, four sharp corners, and flawless color. SMR value is $1,000. Reserve $300. Estimate $500/$1,000. SOLD FOR $1,292.50
