1912 T202 Triple Folder "The Scissors Slide" Birmingham/Turner PSA NM 7

Starting Bid - $300.00, Sold For - $705.00

Graded NM 7 by SGC. One of only five graded at this level, with just three examples graded higher. Exceptionally high-grade sample from the classic 1912 T202 Hassan Triple Folders set: #120 "The Scissors Slide" featuring Joseph Birmingham and Terry Turner on the end panels. T202 Triple Folders are one of the most condition-sensitive prewar issues. Due to their unusual design and method of issue, they are virtually nonexistent in Near Mint condition. The offered example is a rare exception. Bright and crisp, both front and back, with vibrant colors, flawless registration, and four sharp corners. The slight irregular cut along the top and bottom edges (characteristic for this issue) accentuates the slightly low centering and is most likely responsible for this card not receiving an even higher grade from PSA. This is an extraordinary high-grade example, which would be at home in the highest-grade T202 collection, or a significant upgrade for any serious T202 set builder. Reserve $300. Estimate $500/$1,000. SOLD FOR $705.00
