1911 T205 Gold Borders PSA-Graded Collection Including Rarities (4)

Starting Bid - $500.00, Sold For - $1,762.50

Collection of four tobacco cards from the 1911 T205 Gold Borders set, all very high-demand cards in the set, including a very pleasing example of key Hall of Famer Cy Young. All four cards have been graded and encapsulated by PSA: 1) Edward L. Grant (PSA EX-MT 6). Only one example of this card has ever been graded higher! Grant is an extremely scarce card in the T205 set. Bright and crisp with just the slightest hint of white showing at the tips of the corners. Centered to the bottom right (approximately 65/35). 2) Lewis McAllister - minor leaguer (PSA EX 5). Clean and crisp card with bold colors and flawless registration. Centered slightly to the left border. 3) George F. Suggs (PSA EX 5). Suggs is also a rare card in the T205 set. Sharp card which has been downgraded by PSA because of a few minor surface scratches. Centered to the bottom right (approximately 70/30). 4) Cy Young (PSA VG 3). Clean and bright with evenly rounded corners and a single crease in the upper left corner. The T205 Gold Border set is one of card collecting's most popular, as well as condition-sensitive, issues. The easily damaged gold borders make collecting the set in high grade particularly challenging. This is a very attractive group comprised exclusively of particularly desirable key cards in the T205 set. Total 4 cards. Reserve $500. Estimate $1,000/$1,500. SOLD FOR $1,762.50
