Hall of Fame Single-Signed Baseball Collection (64)

Starting Bid - $500.00, Sold For - $3,190.00

Collection of sixty-four different Hall of Fame single-signed baseballs including thirty-five deceased players. Nearly all of the balls are either official American League (Brown) or National League (Giamatti) balls and have been signed in blue ink (with signatures grading "9" to "10") across the sweet spot. The players represented in this collection are as follows: Aaron, Aparicio (black ink), Appling, Ashburn (on a side panel), Barlick, Banks, Bell, Bench, Berra, Boudreau, Brock, Chandler, Conlon, Dandridge, Day, Dickey, Doerr, DiMaggio ("8"), Drysdale, Feller, Ferrell, Ford, Gehringer, B. Gibson, Gomez, Grimes (on a side panel in black ink), Herman, Hubbell, Hunter, Irvine, Jenkins (includes the inscription "HOF 91" below his signature), J. Johnson, Kaline ("5/6"), Kell, Killebrew, Kiner, Koufax, Lemon, Leonard (on a side panel), Lopez, Mays, Marichal, Mathews, McCovey, Mize, Musial, Newhouser, Reese, Rizzuto, Roberts, B. Robinson, F. Robinson ("7/8"), Schoendienst, Sewell, Slaughter, Snider, Spahn, Stargell, Terry, Wilhelm, B. Williams, T. Williams, Wynn, and Yastrzemski. All of the balls are in Near Mint condition; approximately half display very light age-toning and one third display moderate age-toning. Of the five balls that are not either Brown or Giamatti balls, three are ONL (White) balls, one is an ONL (Feeney) ball and the other is an OAL (MacPhail) ball. This is an impressive collection that has been carefully assembled over a period of many years entirely in person by a very dedicated collector. This very substantial collection has a tremendous break value, and could also serve as the foundation for a world-class collection of Hall of Famer single-signed baseballs. LOAs from James Spence/JSA and Steve Grad, Mike Gutierrez & Zach Rullo/PSA DNA. Total: 64 balls. Reserve $500. Estimate $1,000/$2,000+. SOLD FOR $3,190.00
